consortium finds mixed-use blessing in Helsinki
A consortium of three international investors
has bought a mixed-used portfolio in greater Helsinki for 85m.
Merrill Lynch Global Principal Investments, O'Connor
Capital Partners and Genesta Property Nordic bought a 100,000m?
property portfolio from private Finnish investor Erja-yhtyma.
The portfolio consists of the 30,000m? Pursimiehenkatu 29-31 office
block, 60,000m? of industrial and logistic space on the ring road
in Espoo, and four office/industrial buildings totalling 14,000m?
in east Helsinki. Merrill Lynch is majority owner in the venture.
The deal is O'Connor's first in Finland and will
be followed by further acquisitions in Finland and the Nordic
region. Genesta Property Nordic will provide strategic asset management
for the portfolio while Tallberg Toimitilajohto will provide the
property management.
Catella Finland advised the seller on the transaction
and Hypo Real Estate Bank International provided the senior debt.
